Feeling Sinful
Chapter – 4 – Shloka -36
O Arjuna, even if you are the greatest sinner in the world, this river of sins can be crossed with the boat of Gyan.
यदि तू अन्य सब पापियों से भी अधिक पाप करने वाला है, तो भी तू ज्ञान रूप नौका द्वारा नि:संदेह सम्पूर्ण पाप समुद्र से भली भाँति तर जायगा ।। ३६ ।।
Chapter – 4 – Shloka -37
O Arjuna, as the burnig fire reduces fuel to ashes, in this same way, Karma (attached Karma binding a person to the material world), is burnt down with the fire of Gyan.
क्योंकि हे अर्जुन ! जैसे प्रज्वलित अग्नि ईंधनों को भस्ममय कर देता है, वैसे ही ज्ञान रूप अग्नि सम्पूर्ण कर्मों को भस्ममय कर देता है ।। ३७ ।।
Chapter – 5 – Shloka -10
The Lord declared:
One who leaves all the results of his actions to God and performs Karma without attachment, is immune to all sins of the world in the same way as a lotus leaf remains unmoistened when placed in water.
जो पुरुष सब कर्मों को परमात्मा में अर्पण करके और आसक्त्ति को त्याग कर कर्म करता है, वह पुरुष जल से कमल पत्ते की भाँति पाप से लिप्त नहीं होता ।। १० ।।
Chapter – 9 – Shloka -30
O Arjuna, you must realize that even if the most evil of men become My devotee and worship Me with a steady and even mind, fully focusing his thoughts and concentrating on Me, he should be considered a saint and a wise man because he is a man of steady wisdom and intelligence since he possesses a decisive mind.
यदि कोई अतिशय दुराचारी भी अनन्य भाव से मेरा भक्त्त होकर मुझको भजता है तो साधु ही मानने योग्य है; क्योकि वह यथार्थ निश्चय वाला है । अर्थात्त् उसने भली भांति निश्चय कर लिया है कि परमेश्वर भजन के समान अन्य कुछ भी नही है ।। ३० ।।
Chapter – 10 – Shloka -3
The Blessed Lord declared:
He who fully understands ME (in all respects) as being without a beginning or an end,and Lord of the universe,is truly the wisest person among all men and is released from all his sins.
जो मुझको अजन्मा अर्थात्त् वास्तव में जन्मरहित, अनादि और लोकों का महान ईश्वर तत्व से जानना है, वह मनुष्यों में ज्ञानवान् पुरुष सम्पूर्ण पापो से मुक्त्त हो जाता है ।। ३ ।।
Chapter – 14 – Shloka -6
Arjuna, understand these three natural elements: SATTVA, because it represents light and purity is a sign of good health, but binds the various beings in this world to worldly material happiness. This attachment also leads to lower knowledge, my friend.
हे निष्पाप ! उन तीनों गुणों में सत्वगुण तो निर्मल होने के कारण प्रकाश करने वाला और विकार रहित है, वह सुख के सम्बन्ध से और ज्ञान के सम्बन्ध से अर्थात् उसके अभिमान से बांधता है ।। ६ ।।
Chapter – 18 – Shloka -66
Detach yourself from all worldly things O Arjuna, and reach out to Me for your salvation and liberation from this world. I shall always protect you from all the worldly sins you may encounter. Put your full love, trust, and devotion in me and you shall fear nothing.
सम्पूर्ण धर्मों को अर्थात् सम्पूर्ण कर्तव्य कर्मों को मुझ में त्याग कर तू केवल एक मुझ सर्व शक्त्तिमान् सर्वाधार परमेश्वर की ही शरण में आ जा । मैं तुझे सम्पूर्ण पापों से मुक्त्त कर दूंगा, तू शोक मत कर ।। ६६ ।।
